Practical grief coaching for people who are functioning, exhausted, and quietly falling apart.
Nothing is wrong with you. Nobody's explained what's happening, and nobody's handed you anything you can use.
I'm Deardra Yerger — a certified NLP life coach and certified grief educator. What I do is straightforward: I explain what grief is actually doing to your body, your sleep and your memory — and then I give you specific things to do about it. No stages. No timeline. No promise that this ends by a certain date.
An eight-week program. 40 lessons, 40 guided exercises, 8 workbooks.
Built in a deliberate order. The first three weeks don't ask you to process anything — you build a floor you can hold on your worst day. Week four is where you turn toward it, carefully, with a way to stop. The last four weeks rebuild, and hand you a plan for the hard days still ahead. For bereavement, and equally for the losses nobody acknowledges — divorce, estrangement, dementia, a career, your health.
A lot of what I teach comes from NLP, and NLP has a mixed reputation — some claims haven't held up, some early research was poor. I'm certified in it and I'll tell you that anyway. Every technique in the program is labelled. Some have decades of research behind them. Some don't — and I say so, then let you test it and discard it if it does nothing. You've probably been sold a lot of certainty lately. This isn't that.
If you're not ready to buy anything — and you may well not be — take the Grief Emergency Toolkit. It's four pages, it's for the worst hours, and it costs nothing.
