A practical coaching framework to navigate, process, and integrate various forms of grief. Move from emotional overwhelm to steady ground, with actionable strategies for bereavement, ambiguous loss, and disenfranchised grief.
Everyone has an opinion about your grief and nobody has a plan.
You've been told it takes time. That everything happens for a reason. That he wouldn't want to see you like this. And somewhere around week three, people stopped asking entirely, right about when it started getting harder.
So you're managing. You're getting up, doing the work, answering the messages. And privately you're exhausted in a way that has no obvious cause, forgetting things constantly, and wondering whether something is actually wrong with you.
Nothing is wrong with you. But here's the part almost nothing addresses: this isn't the only loss you'll ever carry. There will be another one: a different person, a different kind of ending, maybe decades from now. And if all you've ever built is a way to get through this one, you'll be starting over from nothing when it arrives.
That's what this is for. Not just this loss. All of them.
Living After Loss is an educational grief coaching program. Not therapy, not a support group, not a book about the stages, and not something that expires when you finish it.
It takes eight weeks to build, but what you walk away with isn't eight weeks of content. It's a permanent system: every lesson, every exercise, every workbook, and the Grief Emergency Toolkit, yours to open again whenever grief shows up next: next month, next year, or a version of loss you haven't had yet.
The sequence is built on my grief education training, not on what felt right. Stabilization first, understanding second, and no emotional work at all until you've got the capacity to do it safely.
Weeks 1 to 3 don't ask you to process anything. You build a daily floor you can hold on your worst day, and that floor doesn't retire when the program ends. It's the first thing you'll reach for the next time the ground moves. You learn what grief is actually doing to your sleep, your memory, and your body. You get tools for the moments when it arrives without warning.
Week 4 is where we turn toward it, carefully, in fifteen-minute doses, with you holding the dial and a defined way to stop.
Weeks 5 to 7 rebuild. Who you are now. The beliefs keeping you stuck. The guilt you've been carrying. How to tell people what you actually need.
Week 8 hands you a plan for the days that are still coming: the anniversary, the unexpected wave, the year nobody warned you about, and, eventually, the next loss. You keep every module and every tool. You'll be back in this program more than once, and it's built for that.
I'm a certified NLP life coach and a certified grief educator. I am not a licensed therapist, and I'll say that in the first three minutes of the first lesson.
Here's the part nobody else does.
A lot of what I teach comes from NLP, and NLP has a mixed reputation: some of its claims haven't held up, and some of its early research was poor. I'm trained in it, and I'm going to tell you that anyway.
Every technique in this program is labeled. Some have decades of solid research behind them, and I'll say so. Some don't, and I'll say that too, then let you test it on yourself and discard it if it does nothing.
There's an entire lesson where I teach you the weakest-evidenced tool in the program, tell you plainly that it's the weakest, and give you four questions for evaluating any grief advice you're offered, including mine.
This also isn't positioned against therapy, and it never will be. It's built to run alongside it: something concrete to use between sessions, or during the stretches when you aren't in any kind of care at all. Some people go through this while in therapy. Some go through it instead, for now. Both are what it's built for.
You've probably been sold a lot of certainty lately. This isn't that. What it is, instead, is something you can actually check, and something that's still doing its job long after the program ends.
This isn't a stack of videos you watch once. It's a system built to be reopened: the Toolkit during a hard week, a module before an anniversary, the routines again in five years when a different loss arrives.
Self-paced. Lifetime access. Come back to any module whenever you need it. That isn't starting over, that's what it's for. It's the same system whether you're using it for the loss you have right now or the one you haven't had yet.
Living After Loss isn't an eight-week course you finish and shelve. It's a grief support system: real tools you build once and keep permanently, to use for this loss, the next one, and every one after that, whether or not you're also seeing a therapist.
Self-paced · Lifetime access, yours to reuse for any future loss · Works alongside therapy or entirely on its own · Pay Later options available at checkout · Created by Deardra Yerger, certified NLP life coach and certified grief educator · Educational coaching, not therapy
Week one asks you to watch about 70 minutes of video and hold five small daily things. If that's still too much, hold the floor and skip the rest. That's a legitimate way to use this. There's no behind. Nobody is tracking you.
No. Nothing fixes grief, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. What changes is your capacity. You'll have a system: tools, an understanding of what's happening, and a plan for the hard days, this time and the next time they come. Same wave. Different person meeting it, with something in hand.
No, and it doesn't replace it. It's educational coaching, and it's designed to work alongside professional support, not instead of it. Some people go through this while they're in therapy, using it for the tools and structure a session doesn't always leave time for. Some go through it during a stretch when therapy isn't accessible or isn't the right fit yet. There's a whole lesson on how to recognize when you need more than this can give, including how to find help if cost is the barrier.
Yes. There's an entire module on ambiguous loss: the losses without funerals, which typically get the least support and carry the most weight. Divorce, estrangement, dementia, addiction, infertility, a career, your health. And because grief doesn't stop recurring after one kind of loss, this system stays useful for whichever kind shows up next, too.
No. A lot of people find the second year harder than the first, and plenty do this work much further out than that. Grief started late is still grief work.
You won't only need it once. That's the actual math here. Grief isn't a single event you get through and file away. Most people carry more than one significant loss across a lifetime, and almost nobody builds a reusable way to meet it. This isn't priced like eight weeks of content you use once. It's the full system: 40 lessons, 40 exercise videos, 8 workbooks, the Grief Emergency Toolkit, four routines, guided audio visualizations, and the entire research bibliography. It's yours permanently, so the next time loss arrives, you're opening a system you already trust instead of starting from nothing. Measured against showing up to the next loss with nothing built, or against ongoing sessions with no structure between them, it's designed to be worth opening for years, not weeks.
I want this to feel manageable for you. At checkout, you may see Pay Later options such as PayPal Pay Later, Klarna, or Affirm, depending on what's available and what you qualify for. These let you split the cost into installments through that provider. Living After Loss doesn't set those terms or collect the installments. The provider does, so approval, schedule, and any interest are between you and them. Please read their terms with care, and choose only what feels right for your situation.
That's a fair worry, and it's okay to have it. Grief is personal, and not every tool fits every person. If something here doesn't help, you're free to set it aside and keep what does, at your own pace. I also want to be gentle and clear about one thing, so there are no surprises later: all sales are final, and I don't offer refunds, including if you complete only part of the program. If you're unsure whether this is the right fit for you, please email me first at [email protected]. I'm happy to answer your questions.

Living After Loss is an educational grief coaching program created by Deardra Yerger, a certified NLP life coach and certified grief educator. It is not therapy or medical treatment, and the instructor is not a licensed therapist or licensed counselor. It does not diagnose or treat any mental health condition.
If you are experiencing thoughts of harming yourself, please contact a crisis line or emergency services. Resources are provided throughout the program.
A lot of grief support out there makes the same promise: do this, and you'll feel better. Follow these five stages. Trust this technique. It'll work if you just believe in it.
I built this program differently, because I think you deserve to know what you're actually working with.
Every tool in this course is labeled for what the evidence actually says. Some of what I teach, like the reframing work in week six, has decades of solid research behind it, and I'll tell you so. Some of it comes from NLP, which has a mixed reputation, and I'll tell you that too, including the specific places the research is thin.
You'll never be told a technique will definitely work. You'll be told what it's for, what it's built on, and how to test it on yourself so you can keep what helps and drop what doesn't, without wondering if you did it wrong.
I'm a certified NLP life coach, a certified grief educator. I'm not a licensed therapist, and I say so early. Not as a disclaimer, but because knowing the difference is part of what makes this trustworthy.
You've probably been given a lot of confident answers already. This is the version that tells you which ones actually held up.
